With the Ringhotel Parkhotel Jever and the Ringhotel Altes Zollhaus in Horumersiel, Ringhotels is welcoming two new properties to Friesland. Both hotels are owned by the Meents family and are known for their personal hospitality, connection to the region, and unique character.
The Ringhotel Parkhotel Jever combines a historic villa dating back to 1895 with modern architecture and sustainable hotel comfort. Abundant greenery, natural materials, regional breakfast products, and a wellness area with views of the countryside make the hotel a special retreat in the city of Jever.
Located just about 500 meters from the North Sea coast, the Ringhotel Altes Zollhaus sits directly on the old harbor of Horumersiel. This historic property, whose history dates back to 1815, will return to the Ringhotels family in 2026. With its brick charm, North Sea air, cozy parlors, sauna, and rooftop terrace, it offers a genuine Frisian feel-good atmosphere.
“We are very pleased to be represented in Friesland by two properties from the Meents family. It is particularly wonderful that the Meents family is returning to Ringhotels—for us, it feels a bit like coming home,” says Petra Weindl, Managing Director of Ringhotels e.V.
With these two properties, the Ringhotels portfolio expands to include two premier locations on the North Sea—truly embodying the spirit of ‘experiencing authentic local charm.’”
